Free Sunglasses With Every Comprehensive Eye Exam
We’ve all heard about the danger that ultraviolet (UV) radiation has on our skin. Excessive UV exposure causes sunburn and skin cancer (melanoma). We also know that UV radiation from sunlight causes cataract formation and macular degeneration. The effects are cumulative; meaning that the more exposure that you get over time, the greater the likelihood of damage.
We encourage all of our patients to wear UV protecting sunglasses when outdoors in the bright sunlight. This is one environmental factor that we can control to protect our vision through our aging years.
If you don’t have sunglasses, please buy some. If you have them, wear them.
Who couldn’t use a spare pair for emergency backup?
We’re giving them away after every comprehensive eye examination just to show you how serious we are about protecting your eyes. We even have kid’s sizes to get them used to wearing sun protection at an early age.
Sunglasses – “sunscreen” for your eyes.
